Before coming to work in the ACU, he had served as a soldier in the US Army in Afghanistan.
He was with Simon Masrani in JW001 during Masrani's attempt to hunt and kill Indominus rex from the air. He sat up front with Masrani. Masrani asked him and the other trooper riding with them if they'd served in the military, and asked if their general ever flew with them.
When Indominus rex broke through into the aviary, it unleashed a horde of Pteranodons and Dimorphodons, which swarmed the helicopter. As Masrani struggled to control the craft, the gunner fell out and was carried away by a Pteranodon, while another Pteranodon thrust its beak through the helicopter's windshield, impaling the ACU trooper through the chest, killing him instantly. His body was still strapped into its seat as the copter crashed through the aviary dome, fell to the ground and exploded.
He first appears inside the Control Room with Simon Masrani holding the minigun when Vic Hoskins enters and reveals his plan to use Velociraptors to stop Indominus rex. When Masrani turns Hoskins' offer down, the trooper threateningly holds the gun towards Hoskins and then leaves with Masrani. Later in JW001, he is sitting up front with Masrani as in the film, while a gunner works the gun. He, Masrani and the gunner survive the crash and he isn't killed by a Pteranodon.
Behind the scenesEdit
The ACU Trooper's death is similar to the death of the passenger of the rescue helicopter in the storyboard for The Lost World: Jurassic Park's original ending where the passenger is impaled by a Geosternbergia who smashes through the windshield, but pulls him out of the air vehicle unlike the Pteranodon who killed the ACU.
