Daniel Ross was Donald Gennaro's boss in The Law Offices of Cowan, Swain & Ross. He was part of the reason that Donald had to go to Isla Nublar for the inspection. He told Gennaro that if he needed to, he should "screw Hammond" and burn Jurassic Park to the ground.
In the second draft of the Jurassic Park film's script, Ross was described as a "powerful, black man with a prosthetic arm."
