Cameron Thor is an American actor and acting coach who portrayed Lewis Dodgson in Jurassic Park.
Jurassic Park[]
Thor was intended to star as Ian Malcolm during early stages of production. However, he was replaced by Jeff Goldblum. He still would star in the film, as Lewis Dodgson, during a scene with Dennis Nedry. This is his only appearance as Dodgson in the Film Canon, as Campbell Scott was recast in the role for the characters reappearance in Jurassic World Dominion.
Assault charges[]
On June 4th, 2014 he was arrested for the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl, Jordyn Ladell by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's office. The Los Angeles District Attorney's office filed 14 counts against Thor including kidnapping and sexual assault against a minor. The District Attorney alleges that Thor gave the girl "a controlled substance… marijuana" and sexually assaulted her. Thor pleaded not guilty to all 14 counts. Thor's trial began on August 17, 2015. At that time, 13 of the charges against him had been dropped in recent weeks. The only remaining charge was performing a lewd act on a child. The jury began deliberations after the trial ended on August 25, 2015. On the 26th of August, he was found guilty and was sentenced to six years in prison.[1] A 2019 report stated he was released, registered as a sex offender.[2]
As a result, Cameron was unable to reprise his role as Lewis in Jurassic World Dominion, with his character being portrayed by Campbell Scott instead.
