A group of international scientists, led by Sergey Zimov, have established a biological reserve. Its purpose is to re-establish the Pleistocene ecosystem of North America and Siberia during the Pleistocene(Ice Age). The list of current animals in the park include Bison, muskox, reindeer, moose, and Horses. With multiple frozen remains of Mammoths, scientists hope to genetically engineer an elephant's genome to resemble that of a mammoth's. Implementing mammoths would complete the ecosystem, establishing a functional prehistoric ecosystem.
