T rex Kingdom

Tyrannosaurus rex Kingdom, commonly abbreviated to ( T. rex Kingdom), code named Paddock 9, was the enclosure for the Tyrannosaurus rex who was originally created for the failed Jurassic Park, in the Jurassic World park on Isla Nublar. It is one of the park's most popular attractions. Feeding is every two hours. The usual feed is live goat or cows, and the resident Tyrannosaur has been trained to associate signal flares with prey items, so as to lure her to feed in front of a log-like viewing area for safety and a good view. Visitors can also choose to view her in an upper seating area at the top of the arena.[1] Visitors can assist in the feeding of the Tyrannosaurus by purchasing the Adrenaline Package or possibly the Apex Predator Package.

Story[]

During the Jurassic World Incident, Claire Dearing commanded Lowery Cruthers to open the doors to the paddock when her nephew Gray Mitchell suggested that they needed another combatant in the final battle against the rogue Indominus rex. She used a flare to lure Rexy out of the paddock and into Main Street. The paddock soon became uninhabited by the Tyrannosaurus rex as she became free to roam the island after the fight with the hybrid. Later, next year, the Tyrannosaur built her nest in this exhibit, and made both it and Main Street her new territory, which was now unfunctional. She fiercely guarded it from intruders, like human poachers. It is likely that Rexy stayed in this place until she was forced to abandon it because of the events of 2018, when Mount Sibo erupted.

Games[]

LEGO Jurassic World[]

The Tyrannosaurus rex Kingdom appears in the level "Main Street Showdown" nearly identically to its appearance in the film Jurassic World. For comedic purposes, when the doors to the paddock are opening a Compsognathus riding a pig runs out of the enclosure.

In the Jurassic World hub the player can visit the T. rex Kingdom.

Behind The Scenes[]

12
  • In the storyboard of Jurassic World, the T. rex Kingdom scene showed the T. rex eating the goat in plain view.
  • The exhibit's background seems to be based on the conifer forests of Isla Sorna.[2] This would be more in-line with its ancient North American habitat than the Island's natural tropical rainforests or grasslands.
