|Jurassic Park: Raptors Hijack I|
Raptors Hijack I is the first issue of the Jurassic Park: Raptors Hijack series, the third comic book series continuation of Jurassic Park. This issue follows the issue Jurassic Park: Raptors Attack IV.
There are only two remaining velociraptors free in the jungle and the group consisting of Robert Muldoon and Drs. Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler and Ian Malcolm circles the jungle in a helicopter in search of them. With his binoculars, Muldoon spots the velociraptors...attacking a gorilla. This is incredibly strange, as gorillas are native to Africa, not South America. The group decides to investigate and the helicopter drops them off and flies back to base to fuel up. The group comes to the spot where Muldoon spotted the gorilla and are investigating the area, when the gorilla appears out of nowhere and drags Ellie into the jungle.
A mysterious woman is shown observing the raptors and determining what signals they use to communicate with one another.
Meanwhile, at John Hammond's headquarters, Hammond's employee Edgar Prather brings Hammond the news that the kidnapping of the raptors off Isla Nublar was bankrolled, not by Rafael Santos, but by Biosyn, InGen's rival company. Hammond states that he cannot sit back and take Biosyn's repeated assaults and sends Prather away to do some "hunting" for him.
The gorilla abandons Ellie when it is attacked by the velociraptors. As Ellie watches from a nearby tree, the gorilla is killed and the raptors leave the area. Ellie is soon rejoined by the rest of the group, who were searching for her.
The mysterious old woman greets the raptors for the first time, using signs that mean 'peace' and 'trust'. The raptors can understand her.
The story continued at Jurassic Park: Raptors Hijack II.
