Jurassic Park Series 1 is the first Jurassic Park toy line and was made by Kenner. Kenner was at its peak as a toy maker and managed to score the deal with Amblin Entertainment. Originally, the 5 figures appeared with a black background behind the bubble. After a month of production the background was changed to the ever-popular "sunset/jungle" background. In addition the original 5 figures had clothing depicting their film characters, but their heads were based on artist renditions; head sculpts were later changed in Series 2 to more accurately reflect the actors/actresses' likenesses.
Alan Grant's figure comes with Aerial Net Launcher, Nuclear Smart Bomb, Pteranodon Hatchling and a collector Card. The Figure comes in three variations black background card, yellow background card, and with movie collector card (re-release in 1994).
This figure belongs to the first JP toy line, it’s obviously not repainted. However, the figure would be repainted for the JP Series 2 line, featuring a new head sculpt and white shirt, but exactly the same set of accessories,and a new hatchling a Stegosaurus. The Pteranodon baby would not be repainted for later toy lines, but the Aerial Net Trap would. It was repainted for both the TLW exclusive Dino Tracker Set and the JP III exclusive Dinosaur Tracking Set, featuring different colours and a redesigned launching system. The Ellie Sattler Figure comes with Firing Grappling Hook, Beacon Backpack, Triceratops Hatchling and a collector Card. The Figure Comes in three variations black background card, yellow background card, and with movie collector card (re-release in 1994).
Since this figure belongs to the very first JP toy line, it’s obviously not repainted. However, Ellie would be repainted for the JP Series 2 line, featuring a new head sculpt and purple shirt, but exactly the same set of accessories (though both the grappling hook and Beacon Locater pack would feature a new paint job), and this time including an Ankylosaurus hatchling instead. The Triceratops Hatchling would also be repainted for the JPS2 toy line and included in a set with Sergeant "T-rex" Turner.
The Tim Murphy Figure comes With Retracting Snare, Night-Vision Goggles, Cage and Brachiosaurus Hatchling. Comes in three variations black background card, yellow background card, and with movie collector card (re-release in 1994).

The Robert Muldoon Figure comes with Firing Tranq Bazooka, Backpack and T. rex Hatchling. Comes in three variations black background card, yellow background card, and with movie collector card (re-release in 1994).
Since this figure belongs to the first JP toy line, it’s obviously not repainted. However, the figure would be repainted for the JP Series 2 line, featuring a new head sculpt and green/black clothing, but exactly the same set of accessories, though with a new hatchling a Velociraptor. The Tyrannosaurus Hatchling would not be repainted for later toy lines, unlike the bazooka. It was reused for the TLW exclusive Young Tyrannosaurus set, and got a makeover for the TLWS2 Eddie Carr figure, (featuring some minor improvements and a new paint job).

The Dennis Nedry Figure comes with Tranq Spray Gun, Gas Mask, Dino-Damage arm and Dilophosaurus Hatchling. Comes in three variations black background card, yellow background card, and with movie collector card (re-release in 1994).
Since this figure belongs to the very first JP toy line it’s not a repaint. However, the figure would be repainted for the JP Series 2 line, featuring a new head sculpt and red shirt, but exactly the same set of accessories with repainted gas mask, though this time including a Pachycephalosaurus Hatchling instead. The Dilophosaurus Hatchling would be repainted for the JPS2 toy line and included in a set with "Jaws" Jackson. This figures dino damage is that you can take off his arms.

The Dimetrodon figure comes with Striking Clamping Jaws. Since this figure belongs to the very first JP toy line, it’s not a repaint in any way. However, the figure would be repainted twice, once for the first JP Dinosaurs line, and again for the second with the Dimetrodon with Military Diver set. Curiously enough, the JPD1 Dimetrodon featured repainted capture gear from the Ornithosuchus figure. The Dimetrodon figure never had capture gear specifically designed for itself, but the Ornithosuchus capture gear was a close fit.
The Dilophosaurus figure comes with Striking Venom Spray. There are two variations: one has a hole on each feet, and the other doesn't. Since this figure belongs to the very first JP toy line, it’s not a repaint in any way. However, the figure would be reused for the JP Series 2 line (meaning it’s exactly the same figure and didn't even get a new paint job), featuring a different collector’s card and capture gear. It would also be repainted for the TLWS1 line, featuring repainted capture gear from the JPS2 figure. A Chaos Effect Night Hunter Series repaint was planned but scrapped. This is probably the most common Dinosaur figure.
The Velociraptor figure comes with Striking Slashing Jaws. Since this figure belongs to the very first JP toy line, it’s naturally not a repaint. However, the figure would be reused for the JP Series 2 line meaning it’s exactly the same figure, and didn't even get a new paint job, featuring a different collector’s card and capture gear. Furthermore, it would be repainted for the TLWS1 line originally with a very interesting new paint job and labelled as a Deinonychus, but that version got scrapped and made way for the TLWS1 Raptor we eventually got, as well as for the Chaos Effect line after that as the Raptor Alpha figure, and finally for the first JP Dinosaurs line. As such, it’s one of Kenner’s most often used figures. But the JPS1 version is undoubtedly most well remembered.
The Coelophysis Figures come with Constrictor Bodies. Since these figures belong to the first JP toy line they aren't repaints. Neither Coelophysis figure would be repainted for later toy lines either. It is likely the green one is a male and the grey one is a female.
The Pteranodon' Figure comes with Striking Jaws and Flapping Wings. Since this figure is part of the very first JP toy line, it’s not a repaint in any way. However, it would be repainted for the first JP Dinosaurs line, but not for other toy lines.7
This Pteranodon' figure became so well known that it appeared in Toy Story however the head is enlarged and has a different shape and some of the color scheme is different (most likely due to Sid Phillip's abuse with toys).
The Young T. rex Figure was one of the meduim-sized dinosaurs in this line. Its' mainly made from a soft rubbery material, but his limbs and the inside of his mouth are made from a harder plastic. It comes with a Removable Damage Wound and a Slashing Jaws feature done by squeezing it's neck. This figure comes in two
versions: the first, released in 1993, came with a collector card and the second one came in 1994 with a new movie collector card. As a part of the very first JP toy line this figure is not a repaint. However, it’s one of the more frequently repainted larger dinosaurs produced by Kenner. It was first repainted for the JPS2 toy line in a very different dark colour scheme, and also featured capture gear. Later on, it was repainted as a TLW exclusive figure and included the same capture gear as its JPS2 predecessor. It was again repainted with the same capture gear for the first JP Dinosaurs line. A second JPD repaint, for the second JPD line, may have been planned but was eventually scrapped. The young Tyrannosaurus was based off the Juvenile Tyrannosaur from the original novel.
The Stegosaurus Figure comes with Removable Damage Wound and Whipping Spiked Tail. This figure comes in two versions the first, released in 1993, came with a collector card, and the second one came in 1994 with a new movie collector card. As part of the first JP toy line this figure is naturally not a repaint. It would not be repainted for later toy lines either, which in understandable, since the far superior TLWS1 Stegosaurus took over the role of large spiky dinosaur figure.
The Triceratops comes with Removable Damage Wound and Head Ramming Attack. This figure comes in two versions: the first, released in 1993, came with the collector card, and the second one came in 1994 with a new movie collector card. As part of the first JP toy line, this figure is not repainted in any way. It would not be repainted for later toy lines either.
The Tyrannosaurus rex is the biggest toy on this series and it is based on Rexy from the film. This figure is made almost entierly out of a rubbery material, similar to the T. rex animatronic used in the film. The only exceptions are its' limbs and teeth. This Red Rex comes with Electronic Roar activated by pressing it's ribs and a Stomping Sound done by stomping it down on a flat surface. Many fans noted that this figure's roar and paintjob does not look like the film's Tyrannosaur and this is likely due to the fact that the JP series 1 toys were made before the film came out. This figure comes in two versions: the first, released in 1993, came with the collector card, and the second one came in 1994 with a new movie collector card. Being part of the very first JP toy line this sculpt is not a repaint in any way. It would not be repainted for following toy lines either.
