Megaloceros giganteus is an extinct species of deer whose members lived throughout Eurasia from the late Pliocene to the Late Pleistocene and were important herbivores during the Ice Ages. The Megaloceros giganteus’ antlers could measure up to 3.65 meter (~12 feet}} wide from tip to tip or about twice the size of a grown man.[2] Even though the Megaloceros giganteus was also named "Irish Elk", it had more in common with a deer.[3]
