Michael "Mike" Bowman was a 36 year-old real estate developer from Dallas, Texas. He was married to Ellen Bowman,and was the father of Christina, their only child.
Trip to Costa Rica
Bowman and his wife had planned a trip to Costa Rica for months, but Mike discovered all the planning was merely a cover-up for his wife to meet with a plastic surgeon in San Jose. After a fight, their two-week holiday got back on track, and they went to a deserted beach in Cabo Blanco. His daughter went off to explore, and was attacked by a small green lizard.
Mike and Ellen raced Tina to the hospital in Puntaranes, where she recovered and was discharged the following morning.
