The Pontiac Custom S is a convertible manufactured in the United States. Ian Malcolm and Sarah Harding drove in a 1969 model to the InGen Waterfront Complex to await the arrival of the S.S. Venture. When the Tyrannosaur Buck was accidentally released from the hold of the Venture, Ian and Sarah hatched a plan to use the Infant T. rex as bait to lure its father back to the boat. Ian drove while Sarah sat in the back seat with the baby. After getting the parent's attention, they drove back to the Waterfront Complex in the Pontiac. Ian had to smash through the wall of a warehouse to get to the waterfront before the Buck could catch up, and this action cracked the windshield.
