In the chapter Stegosaur the endorsement team visits the Stegosaurus Paddock with Dr. Ellie Sattler investigates why one of the stegosaurs is ill and successfully discovers the cause of her illness. Also, Dr. Alan Grant makes a startling discovery right after the end of the investigation.

Plot[]

Upon reaching the Stegosaurus Paddock, the endorsement team gets out of their Tour Vehicles once they see Dr. Gerry Harding tending to an ill Stegosaurus. Dr. Ellie Sattler investigates the cause of the Stegosaurus' sickness alongside Jurassic Park veterinarian Dr. Gerry Harding. The stegosaur oddly displays the symptoms of the Melia azedarach or the West Indian Lilac poisoning, a plant that stegosaurs do not eat. But with help from Dr. Alan Grant she discoveries that cause is because the Stegosaurs are confused the berries of the West Indian Lilac for gizzard stones. Dr. Grant then proceeds to search through a pile of Stegosaurus gizzard stones to which he finds something.

Elsewhere in the paddock, Donald Gennaro plays catch with Lex Murphy while discussion with Dr. Ian Malcolm about Chaos theory until they are contacted by Dr. Alan Grant and Dr. Ellie Sattler to come over to the area with the gastrolith pile. It is revealed that Dr. Grant's discovery is a fragment belonging to a dinosaur egg shell, particularly Velociraptor. Dr. Harding objects to Dr. Grant's belief about the egg shell, saying that it is a bird egg because the dinosaurs are unable to breed, but Dr. Alan Grant is certain the egg belongs to a dinosaur due to many of the egg's characteristics with the group of prehistoric reptiles.
