So shouldn't Yutyrannus be part of the Tyrannosaurids category? Seems rather obvious that it should, heck it's in the name! Yutyrannus.
I know that sometimes Yutyrannus is commonly referred to as a tyrannosaurid, but I still don't think it should be included in the category "tyrannosaurids". The defintion of tyrannosaurid refers to members of Tyrannosauridae, which Yutyrannus does not belong.
I also disagree that we should place it under the category "tyrannosaurids" just because it has "tyrannus" or some other variant of the word "tyrant". If that was the case, Tyrannotitan, a carcharodontosaurid, would fall in this category despite it coming from a whole different group than T. rex and its kin.
Well some users just added Yutyrannus and kicked out Guanlong.
Yeah, Guanlong was totally a tyrannosaurid!
No, it wasn't. Tyrannosaurids ALWAYS have to have two fingers, and Guanlong had three.
Oh,MarkJira hi and that's the first time I've been corrected
